Hazard was instrumental for Chelsea last term as the club romped to their first championship in five years. Chelsea’s second half of the campaign revolved around Hazard being the main man, with several key players like Matic, Fabregas and Costa missing out at one point or another.

The Brazi Under-20 international joined Chelsea from Fluminense this summer along with Nathan. He was originally planned to go on loan but impressed Mourinho so much in the pre-season encounter against Barcelona that the Chelsea boss ended up keeping him in the first-team squad for this season.

If the report is accurate, it would be hard to imagine Chelsea turning it down keeping in mind Mourinho’s recent comments about Luis and Salah. Had Chelsea chosen to sign a proven goalscorer, they could have sold Remy. Mourinho still seems in a state of indecision when it comes to the French striker.
