Bertrand Traore is one of many talented Chelsea youngsters plying their trade on loan. The promising youngster signed for Chelsea on 31st October 2013 and was promptly sent to Eredivisie side, Vitessse on 2nd January 2014.
In the 2nd leg of Europa League playoffs against PEC Zwolle, the Burkina Faso international opened Vitesse’s account with a magnificent solo opener.
However, Traore also missed a golden chance to give Vitesse the victory when he somehow managed to miss the open-goal from three yards.
In the end, the result didn’t matter much, as Vitesse progressed to the play-off final on account of their first leg victory which they won by two goals to one. They will now face Heerenveen for the Europa League spot in away and home fixtures on 28th and 31st May respectively.
