Filipe Luis might be on his way to Atletico Madrid. Sky have reported that Atletico have made a bid of £15m. If the report is accurate, it would be hard to imagine Chelsea turning it down keeping in mind Mourinho’s recent comments about Luis and Salah. Mourinho mentioned club is open to let them go if the price is right.

Filipe Luis was in the La Liga team of the season before he came to Chelsea. He was a regular starter for the squad that won the La Liga and ended up runner-up in the Champions League. He won the Premier League and League Cup last season with Chelsea but he didn’t make as many appearances as he would’ve wanted.
Although, Baba Rahman has been a revelation in the Bundesliga, Chelsea might be weakening their LB position with the swap. However, with Azpillicueta hogging all the playing time, it is a better bet to develop a younger player behind him. Chelsea could’ve gotten themselves in similar situation had they bought Luke Shaw. Chelsea were clearly interested but were unwilling to match the wages that a desperate United offered.
